Forest Layout and Revisiting Storyboard

Forest Layout
Went over the forest Layout with Danielle and figured out how the forest works, up until the clearing. We liked making a pathway to when the beast jumps out and then having the trees scattered.

Storyboard
Oana suggested changing one of the views for when Demetruis walks into the forest, me and Danielle had ideas for changing it, but as we changed it we realized we found that the storyboard from the forest onwards didn't flow nicely. I went to get Frans to help us out and he agreed with changing some of the storyboard to make it look better. Me and Liam started thinking about more interesting shots for the chase scene. We looked at Spirited Away, when Chihiro runs away from No-face, and what kind of shots they used.

Danielle went over it, to make it more of a low angle shot, and to make the monster come in on the side like Demetrius does.

The idea behind this one is that Demetrius runs into screen, toward the front, and then back side on, to give more depth into the chase scene.

A shot where its closer, to create intensity.

We had the idea that perhaps the monster is quite clumsy, hitting trees while he chases Demetrius, and that the beats can't turn in corners as well as Demetrius, as Lions are quite fast in running straight ahead but not in pulling fast corners.

This shot is taken straight from Spirited away but we replaced the bg with trees, and made the monster bump into the trees, hitting its shoulder while chasing Demetrius. We want to give the monster more personality, and create more depth into the chase scenes. We also think Demetrius' run should be very frantic, running for his life.
